Carrier (Mýto u Rokycan)

RECUTHERM s.r.o. installed two waste heat recovery units for a leading manufacturer of cooling systems in Myto.

There were 2 large-capacity waste heat recovery systems installed, with a total output of 230 kW. The waste heat is obtained from the operational exhausts of the baking and drying oven of the powder coating line, and the obtained heat is further used for heating the chemical pretreatment tanks.

The heat recovery equipment also included special heat exchangers designed for installations with a high volume of dust particles, which also fulfill the function of a cleanable filter.

The manufacture and installation of the waste heat recovery units itself was preceded by measuring the input parameters (especially volume, humidity and waste heat temperature), designing the optimal size of the heat exchanger and calculating the return on investment.

The waste heat recovery units were installed with the aim of reducing energy consumption, saving operating costs and reducing the carbon footprint.
