KYB Manufacturing Czech, s.r.o. (Pardubice)

RECUTHERM s.r.o. installed one piece of waste heat recovery unit also in Pardubice for KYB – one of the largest manufacturers of automotive shock absorbers.

It was a recovery unit with a total output of approximately 50kW. Waste heat is obtained from the operating exhaust of the EC baking oven of the painting line and the obtained heat is further used to heat the chemical pre-treatment tanks.

The device also included special heat exchangers designed for installations with a high volume of dust particles, which also fulfill the function of a cleanable filter.

The manufacture and installation of the waste heat recovery unit itself was preceded by measuring the input parameters (especially volume, humidity and waste heat temperature), designing the optimal size of the heat exchanger and calculating the return on investment.

The waste heat recovery unit was installed with the aim of reducing energy consumption, saving operating costs and reducing the carbon footprint.
