Mubea (Prostějov)

A total of 3 pieces of RECUTHERM s.r.o. waste heat recovery units were installed in the operating plant of Mubea, specializing in the production of automotive components.

3 pieces of waste heat recovery units saved approximately 180 kW. Waste heat is obtained from the operational exhausts of the baking ovens of powder coating lines and the obtained heat is further used to heat the chemical pre-treatment tanks.

The waste heat recovery units also included special heat exchangers designed for installations with a high volume of dust particles, which also fulfill the function of a cleanable filter.

The manufacture and installation of the waste heat recovery unit itself was preceded by measuring the input parameters (mainly volume, humidity and waste heat temperature), designing the optimal size of the heat exchanger and calculating the return on investment.

The waste heat recovery units were installed with the aim of reducing energy consumption, saving operating costs and reducing the carbon footprint.
