This was the very first installation of RECUTHERM s.r.o., when one waste heat recovery unit was installed in Tritón manufacturing company, specializing in the production and sale of data and telecommunication switchboards.

The obtained power is approximately 20 kW and the recovery unit collects waste heat from the operating exhaust of the baking oven of the powder coating line. It is further used to heat the chemical pre-treatment tanks.

The installation was a big challenge, since it involved using the recovery unit in the environment with an extremely high incidence of dust particles.

The recovery unit also included special heat exchangers, which also fulfill the function of a cleanable filter.

The manufacture and installation of the waste heat recovery unit itself was preceded by measuring the input parameters (especially volume, humidity and waste heat temperature), designing the optimal size of the heat exchanger and calculating the return on investment.

The waste heat recovery unit was installed with the aim to reduce energy consumption, to save operating costs and to reduce the carbon footprint.
